Jonathan W. Morrison

Ministering Evangelist

Minister Jonathan W. Morrison loves the Lord and is humbled to be a servant in the Kingdom of God. He is the son of the late Dr. Woodie W. Morrison and Anne Morrison. Since 2009, he has been married to his lovely wife, Lataria, and they are blessed to share four beautiful children: Jostyn, Jensyn, Juliyn and Jiliyn.

He is a proud graduate of the Amberton University (Garland, TX), The University of Texas at Arlington and Southwestern Christian College (Terrell, TX). Shortly after completing his matriculation at Southwestern Christian College, Jonathan was appointed Dean of Men, and continued to serve in this capacity until 2017.

He is privileged to have been shaped under the influence of a number of great gospel ministers including late ministers Dr. W.W. Morrison, Dr. J.S. Winston, Sr., Dr. Jack Evans, Sr. and Dr. Eugene Lawton. He also served for several years as an assistant minister to Dr. David L. Lane during his tenure with the Marsalis Avenue church in Dallas. Prior to assisting Dr. Lane, Jonathan served the West End church (Terrell, TX) as minister.

Since April of 2010, he has faithfully served as Ministering Evangelist for the Cedar Crest Church of Christ in Dallas, TX. There, he is actively engaged in ministry that emphasizes saving the lost, strengthening the saved and serving the community. Beyond local ministry and organizing, Jonathan is humbled to serve yearly throughout the country, our brotherhood and abroad in various capacities.

When he is not working, he can be found enjoying his family, listening to music, watching a movie, attending sporting events, or watching his favorite network cable news channels.
